Bedrooms and sleeping arrangementss: This vacation cabin was designed by Bryan and Ana Burrell to be very flexible for vacationers. It is cute and homey for a single honeymooning couple yet has the ability to expand and accommodate a fairly large group. The cabin has 3 bedrooms with additional sleeping arrangements in the living room and covered deck if needed. The larger master bedroom, i.e. ’The Santa Fe’, is decorated in a southwest Spanish style with a large original oil painting and beautiful rattan furniture. It has a queen bed , walk-in closet, 1 comfortable reading chair with reading lamp and an additional sofa chair by the window. This additional Swedish-designed sofa chair folds out to a narrow single bed if desired. This single bed mattress is a polyurethane cotton mix and is best suited for a small adult or child. The rattan armoire has a satellite TV with a full dish network subscription. This allows one group to be watching a satellite channel in this comfortable bedroom while another group watches something else in the Living Room satellite TV. This bedroom also has a safe electric fireplace. So this room sleeps 2-3 people and has a northwest view of the Tushar mountains. The second bedroom is named ’The Westerner’. It has a queen with walnut armoire, chair, suitcase rest and a very large double-size closet. This room sleeps 1-2 people and has a southern view of the creek area, forest, fire pit, hot tub, and meadow. The third bedroom ; i.e., ’The Bunkhouse’ has a single over double bunk bed (ok for adults) with a pine dresser and closet. In the corner is another Swedish Sofa Chair with a reading light that potentially folds out into another narrow single bed. This smaller bed is best suited for a small adult or child This room sleeps 3-4 people has a view of the playground and creek. The large living room is a very homey and comfortable place to sit and visit, watch TV, watch the humming birds or the Tushar mountains out the picture window. It has two comfortable leather couches, day bed couch with comfortable back rest pillows and a full-size futon with back rest pillows. However this room is also designed to convert to a comfortable sleeping area for groups. The daybed has a single spring mattress with a separate roll-out single spring mattress trundle bed underneath. The futon folds down for one or two adults and has a quality mattress. So this room can sleep 3-4 people on mattresses comfortably. So the cabin can sleep a total of 9 to 13 people on mattresses. Additional Kids are also welcome to sleep on the floor or protected back deck with their sleeping bags. There is also an additional overflow cabin (new RV trailer) nearby to accommodate more people very comfortably. An additional alternative for family reunions is to have family tents on the rear deck, in the yard near the playground, or in the meadow down by the creek. We have had family reunions with as many as 9 families at the retreat using a combination of the cabin, the RV park, our RV rental, and outdoor tents. This is a great way for a large group to be together in a great atmosphere and to be able to share the costs. |

· The Playground features a toddler apparatus with sandbox as well as swings and slide, kid rappelling, and forest clubhouse for children. There is a tether-ball, foosball, and horseshoes for older kids. The really big kids have their own fun in the Jacuzzi hot-tub under the stars. There is a comfortable secluded hammock and bench in the shade by the gurgling creek. · The retreat has a small spring pond and about 700 private feet of Pine Creek which flows through the property with grassy meadows and woods surrounding it. There are little waterfalls, private shady meadows, trails and sand bars for the your enjoyment. Wild turkeys, mule deer, squirrels, chipmunks, humming birds, cutthroat and brown trout and plenty of native birds are often on the property. · There are outdoor picnic tables under a canopy of deer, elk, and moose antler-sheds. You are welcome to invite your friends that might be staying elsewhere over for a barbeque or to enjoy the retreat. There is also a large fireplace with benches round-about for fireside fun (free unlimited cut firewood for the cabin). Free Dutch oven facilities are available on request. There is a gas grill and outdoor furniture on the view deck. · Bryan and Ana usually stay in a small basement office at the retreat so to clean and care for the retreat, provide security, and recreational information to retreat guests. The office was part of the original retreat design with a heavy sound insulated cement barrier so we don’t hear you and you don’t hear us. The office has a separate entrance and parking on opposite sides of the retreat facility. We always take a fun-loving and open-minded approach to always put the retreat guests’ privacy and comfort as first priority. The Jacuzzi, playground, and outdoor fireplace are occasionally used by Bryan and Ana and their friends. Although Bryan and Ana spend a lot of time on their own outdoor excursions, they will try to be present at your check-in to introduce you to the retreat facilities and help you plan your recreational activities during your stay in the area. If we can’t be there when you arrive, we will leave the cabin open for you and we’ll take care of check-in paperwork later. |
